Synteko Natural

Advanced finish technology that allows the use of space-age ceramics to increase the abrasion resistance of the wear layer.

Vinyl-alkyd have superseded natural varnish made from vegetable oils. This product was commonly used before urethane finishes where introduced.

Aluminum Oxide

Turns hardwood lighter without any undue harm. Typically paired with staining, "pickling" (turning the wood blonde) or "antiquing" wood.

Natural shellac contains wax and is not widely used for top coating in today's wood flooring market. Dewaxed shellac is becoming used more and more for a wood floor sealer.

Professional grade performance with easy application and water clean-up. The low VOC’s meet or exceed all local, state, and federal standards.

Water-Based Urethane

Patented technology that provides a floor finish that will look amazing for years. Includes a life-time residential or 2-3 year commercial warranty.

Essentially enables one to protect their floors by creating a barrier of ceramic particles between one's feet and the actual floor finish. There are appx 12,000,000 + ceramic particles per square foot of WearMax. These particles are harder than industrial diamonds & stainless steel, allowing for superior wear/scratch/slip/stain resistance and low maintenance.

oil Finishes

Oil finishes do not achieve the same glass smooth appearance on open-pored woods (ie. oak, mahogany, etc) as lacquer or wood topcoats. They are, however, much easier to apply and much more forgiving when mistakes happen.

For a traditional, old-fashioned, hand rubbed appearance, in one easy step. Soaks into the wood and protects from within.

Danish Oil

Oil-Modified Urethane/

Petroleum base with a blend of synthetic resins, plasticizers that produce a durable surface that is moisture-resistant. Dries in appx 8 hours. Ambers with age. Comes in different sheen levels.

Gives a "wetted wood" look. Made with additives that improve drying and hardness. Can be used to stain and seal wood floors.

Tung Oil

From bleaching to conditioning, we can make your hardwood look as antique or modern as you'd like.

Quick-drying and commonly used on furniture pieces. Should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

A fairly translucent dye that enhances (rather than obscures) the wood. Dissolves and absorbes into the wood itself.

Water-based stains are suitable for most wood styles, but gains best results on hard, close grained woods (ex. maple & birch). Color remains clean & uniform. Can be combined with any finish.

Formulated to penetrate deeply into wood fibers. Provides excellent grain definition and rich color. Typically require longer drying time before sealers or topcoats are applied.

Used more on soft woods (ex. pine, maple or birch) to give a more even tone. A conditioner will pre-seal some of the wood pores so that stain will babsorbed more evenly. The finished color will be lighter than without conditioner so test a sample piece first.
